Power over Ethernet or Active Ethernet” according to IEEE802.3af standard is the elegant solution for power supply via network cable. Installation complexity concerning power supply decreases considerably. Access point, network camera, VoIP-phone or other devices don’t need power plugs or cables any more. Some devices can already use this direct insert of power via Cat.5 cable. Power over Ethernet function, can be equipped with a converter (POS-1000) that must be installed between MidSpan Hub/injector and device.
